I don’t know if you’ve watched The Orville, but we just finished it and I’m emotionally drained. I was honestly not expecting it to be as good as it was, but here we are.
I’m only bringing it up for the purely selfish motive of maybe getting you to watch it, which will bring its viewership numbers up, which will then ensure it gets a fourth season. I need more.
Now that that bit of business is out of the way, what else has been going on in the last couple of weeks?
Lots! The album release top is spinning and picking up speed.
- We just received the master this week for “The Comeback Kid” from our friends at Peerless Mastering in Boston.
- A lyric video for it was just completed Wednesday night…
…and we had a very fun meeting yesterday about a proper music video for it.
By “meeting”, I mean Jen and I excitedly threw ideas at each other in the middle of the day like it was that Key & Peele Gremlins 2 skit. (I am warning y’all now: audience participation ideas are on the table.)
I’m also very stoked about our next show: 10/26 at Harvard & Stone with Serious Face and Rilo Wye.
We’ve been working very hard on this particular set. We’ll be brandishing Aloud oldie goldies and some of the newer stuff off the upcoming record. I even cleaned my pedal board up for this.
That’s all I got this week. Talk more soon.
Cheers,
Henry
PS: We’ve been watching the developments in the Caribbean and Florida with great anguish… I can tell you from personal experience that hurricanes suck and are quite terrifying.
