There are journeys, and then there are journeys.

Here’s the life of one called “Somewhere To Be” — from when it began as a strange little voice memo with a working title of “Timezone Warzone” on April 4, 2021 to the final recording session for Apollo 6 on April 16, 2022.

Like all the other songs on the record, a horn arrangement had been written and recorded for it, but sometimes you have to kill your darlings and it didn’t end up on the final mix. I don’t know, dude. Music’s not an exact science. (Still, it was a pretty sweet bit, so some of it’s been included in the video. Enjoy!)
