Listening to this podcast right now. Linda Holmes was interviewed. She crunched some numbers on the amount of books one could reasonable read in a lifetime and came to the obvious, inevitable conclusion that you will miss out on a ton of stuff before you die—and this is applied to music and movies.
The conversation’s pretty cool, and it mostly centers on figuring out what’s important to you.
This is pretty much my justification for largely ignoring broadcast TV. (Seriously, America… “Chuck Lorre” and “humor” are two mutually exclusive concepts.)
