“Quiet verses bubble up to set the stage for the detonation of a refrain. With the urgency that comes from having your voice going unheard, the tune is propulsive and unhinged with frustration.”
“Agua Mala” also features Kendra Jones and Tom Stuart of Brooklyn’s Cold Blood Club on vocals. The single officially drops tomorrow, February 9, on Bandcamp and on iTunes on the 10th. You can pre-order the song on iTunes here.
Aloud and Cold Blood Club perform at the Knitting Factory February 9th, with special guests Kris Gruen, Peppina, and Young Mister to raise more funds for Flint.
Nearly three years on, the Flint Water Crisis continue. Over the course of a year and a half — while Governor Rick Snyder and his administration assured the people there was no “imminent threat to public health” — lead from aging pipes leached its way into the community’s drinking water. Thousands in Flint are affected, with lifelong health problems on the horizon for the children and citizens of Flint.
